What is a company intranet?
A company intranet is a website only visible to a single company. It’s used to have a central point where all previous and updated information for the single company can be viewed. Each branch/employee of that company will have his/her own login details and they can even be given access to update or add information to that website or parts of the website.
An intranet is exactly like a website but is not visible to the public or anyone who doesn’t have a username and password to access it. The intranet will also have a back end where an administrator can log in to updated the website and load company information. The main idee of an intranet is to supply useful company information to everyone belonging to the company. In that way it’s easier to keep everyone up to date without having meetings. This can save a lot of company time.
